God, give us revival, or we’ll die. Do you know of anyone praying like this today, in our new age, modern culture? We have big name evangelist and pastors scattered across the nation. Some have many thousands in their congregation. They have the finest robed choir and fly the ultra jets. Millions in their bank account. This is not what brings revival.

True Story

Charles Finney was holding a revival. A young woman came up to him and asked him to go to her town and preach. Her eyes full of tears. A minister, who had backslid and now created corruption lived in her town. It was noted for being extremely wicked. Mr Finney told her it was impossible as he couldn’t find time he was so booked. She came back the next Sunday, so affected by a burden for her town, she couldn’t talk. He agreed to come the next Sunday afternoon. Arriving at her home, he heard her praying to God for souls upstairs. She did this all night, weeping and praying. God also put in him a spirit of prayer like the young lady had. On the third service the spirit of God was poured out among the congregation. They began to pray and revival broke out, so much so, that nearly all the whole town came to the services. The head leaders of the town got saved and there was a mighty out pouring of the Holy Ghost. Every sin and vice conceiveable was broken as God moved in a mighty way.

This happened, not because of cold, sinful men who called themselves preachers. It was started by a young lady, who was broken with weeping and prevailing prayer, for a lost town going to hell. This will cause the giants to lose every battle.

God must be disgusted with these “big shot preachers” who boast of using the best talent in the land.

It is not talent and ability God wants. He desires a man, woman, boy, or girl, who is sold out to Him. Pastors, preachers, evangelist…it is not double vested satin and aligator shoes with a five hundred dollar hair style that moves God. It is not wealth in many banks, not the finest homes and cars. No, no, a thousand no’s. Neither crowds to boast about.

It is a humble human being, who loves God enough to pray, fast, and weep before the altar.

Jesus Himself said…”And Jesus said unto him, fox have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.” (Luke 9:58) Jesus was saying literally, homes, material possessions, and wealth are not what pleases God or brings revival.

One of Gods greatest secrets to mankind for revival is to not only confess that you have forsaken sin. But to abhor it, to love getting completely right with God in every area of your life. To cling to Holiness like a person thrown a lifejacket. Hold on to truth and righteousness as though your very soul depended upon them. Actually, your spiritual man does rely solely on these in order not to go to hell.

I love David of the Bible because he had a constant revival in his spirit. He was a man after Gods own heart because when he sinned, he would quickly repent asking God to forgive him.

Example:

(2Samuel 24:10) “And David’s heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.”

Remember the spies, sent by God to spy out the giants land? There were 10 came back and said they were as grasshoppers in the giants eyes. But listen to what Caleb said:

(Take the giants head off them) “And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.” (Numbers 13:30)

Destroy the giants and you’ll start a great revival, beginning in your own heart. Do it now in Jesus Name.
