What is our “Reasonable Service”
I went to a Church homecoming this past Sunday and it was fantastic. Have you ever seen a
grown man cry, well i was in tears. The preacher preached
on the topic of “reasonable service” from the passage of Romans 12 . I now see this passage in
a new and deeper perspective. We are nothing without God. We go to school and obtain degrees
we establish businesses, create wonderful events, produce breath-taking
ambience, we engender so many marvelous accomplishments not because of our own ability, but
because of the grace of God. Even more telling is the fact that He gave us his only son to
die for our existence through which this grace was obtain. Yet, all that God is asking of us is our
reasonable service, all he ask of us are things that are not far-fetch, diffifult, out of
range. All he is asking of us is attend to church on worship day, al least once
a week. Yet some of us with high accomplishments, accomplishments God made possible, would not
dare to teach a Sunday school class. Why? Because we are too busy, we have other things to do. We
are indeed, selffish. My friend, everytime you breath it is because of God’s Grace.
Everytime you walk it is because of God’s grace. Everytime you think it is because of God’s grace. By the way,
you are reading this Bible blog because of God’s Grace. THINK ABOUT IT, WE ARE NOTHING WITHOUT GOD’S GRACE. Now what are you
going to do to show your appreciation for his mercies. Do you think we deserve God’s grace?
